Students must be able to communicate effectively in English to study at the University of Toronto. Proficiency in the English language must be demonstrated by all applicants educated outside Canada whose primary language is not English. If you have not completed a degree in which English was the language of instruction, you are required to complete one of the English-Language Proficiency Tests listed on this page. Indicate the English-Language Proficiency test taken and score received in the appropriate fields and upload a copy of your test.

International students are required to register full-time for the duration of their program. For domestic students this selection is just an indication of your anticipated attendance type. Attendance type is determined by the number of courses you are enrolled in. Please note that to be eligible for some grants you must be registered as full-time.
